ASSA ABLOY ("WE") is committed to protecting your personal data in connection with your use of this ASSA ABLOY service.

The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to describe how we collect and will process the personal data we receive in connection with the use of the websites and mobile applications, which will be referred to as the “Service” in this notice.

This Privacy Notice applies to the websites and mobile applications of the ASSA ABLOY Group companies in Latin American countries.

We will collect and process the personal data that you provide through our websites and mobile applications.

 

What personal data will ASSA ABLOY process, and why?
ASSA ABLOY will process your personal data in accordance with the following description:

  • To provide the Service that you request and give your consent;
  • To send marketing communications when we have your permission and / or when permitted by law;
  • To personalize our Service (for example, so you can log in);
  • Those obtained through the use of ASSA ABLOY virtual stores, including the type of device, navigation you are using, geographical location, among others;

Note: ASSA ABLOY has no control over how other applications (eg Google, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) process, collect, store or use your data. We recommend that you check the privacy and cookie policies of those websites before providing data. ASSA ABLOY will process your personal data to provide you with the service and support related to the Service. 

  • Name (s), Surname (s) and email address, contact and telephone registration; and• Information related to the use and technical data related to your device (for example, such as your IP address).

Note: ASSA ABLOY does not sell or rent your personal data to third parties outside the ASSA ABLOY group of companies.

 

Transfer of personal data

 
ASSA ABLOY may transfer your personal data to the following categories of recipients to the extent necessary to complete the processes stipulated above or if legally required:

 

  • Government agencies and institutions;
  • Other legal entities within the ASSA ABLOY group; and
  • Our service providers, which are necessary to carry out the Service.

These third parties can only use your personal data in accordance with our instructions and policies.

We have the mechanisms to safeguard your personal data after receiving it. We have our servers and offices in Latin America, the European Union and the United States, for this reason, it is possible that, during one of the processes, your personal data may be transferred, stored and processed in one of these locations.

As the data protection, privacy and other laws of the United States may not be as comprehensive as those of the European Union, we take many measures to protect your privacy and can offer a Data Processing Agreement for customers in the European Union. . If you wish to request this, please use the communication methods described at the end of this notice. When you use this Service, you understand and accept that the collection, storage, processing and transmission of your personal data is carried out in our facilities in Latin America, the European Union and the United States by us and by the service providers with whom we have to share the information as described in this notice. 

 

For how long will ASSA ABLOY store your personal data?

ASSA ABLOY stores personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, unless we can or are obliged by you to store personal data for a longer period of time.

ASSA ABLOY will delete your data when the law no longer requires us to keep it or when it is no longer necessary to provide the Service. At the end of the Service and when the client requests it, the data will be deleted within a maximum period of three (3) months after such termination.

 

Right of access and rectification.

You have the right to request access to personal data related to you. This includes the right to be informed whether or not personal data about you is being processed, what personal data is being processed and the purpose of the processing.
You also have the right to rectify or add personal data if the personal data is inaccurate and / or incomplete. As soon as we become aware that inaccurate personal data is being processed, we will correct such personal data as soon as possible and notify you accordingly.

 

Right to erasure

You can request that your personal data be erased, for example, in the following situations:

To request deletion, you must provide specific information that you want to delete, such as the URL of each page where the personal data is located, so that we can find it.

ASSA ABLOY is not obliged to remove any content, personal data that:

  • Federal or state law requires ASSA ABLOY or a third party to maintain;
  • It was not required by you;• You are anonymized so that you cannot be identified; and
  • You did not follow our instructions to remove or request removal.

Note: Deletion of your personal data from the Service does not guarantee the complete deletion of that personal data from our systems or from the systems of our service providers.

 

Right to object

You have the right to object to our use of your personal data based on our legitimate interest. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests or rights and freedoms or if we need them to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

 

Right of restriction
You can ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data in the following situations:

  • If the processing is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed;
  • If you withdraw your consent to the use of data that we based on your consent;
  • If you believe that the personal data may not be correct;
  • If you believe that the processing is unlawful; or
  •  If we process your personal data based on our legitimate interest, where we do not have an overriding interest in relation to your privacy interest.

 

Right to data portability

If you request access to your personal data about you and that you have provided, and if this personal data is processed automatically; You can request that the data be provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

You can also request that your personal data be transferred to another business. Only if this is technically possible including if the cost is not onerous for ASSA ABLOY.
Note: By exercising some of these rights you could disable communication between us and your devices because we could not provide the Service that you have requested.

 

Usage statistics tracking

The websites use Google Analytics, an analytics service provided by Google, to help us track the usage statistics of visitors to our websites on an aggregate level. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the application and their geographic location. Children's privacy
